Grounding is the single most powerful healing technique to understand and integrate in your daily
life. With the use of a visualization technique, you create an energetic connection from your
physical body into the physical Earth. Grounding is important because it establishes a deeper
connection and relationship to the Earth but also to yourself ~ the most important relationship of
all. If your primary relationship to yourself is intact then your relationship with all other people
seems to work better.
The visualization is a direct, straight extension from the base of your spine, deep down into the
core of the Earth. When done properly, this creates an electrical frequency or a current of energy
throughout the body, which you can feel.
The Benefits of Grounding...

and how you feel.

A Grounding Meditation...
• Take a breath and relax…
• Bring the focus of your attention within your own body and simply be with yourself
• Place your attention at the base of your spine.
• Imagine that your tailbone becomes a taproot that extends all the way down into the core of
the Earth. (Some perceive their grounding as a cylinder or light beam extending from the
perineum down into the core of the Earth. Other visuals for a grounding cord are a vine, a
rope, a waterfall, a titanium grounding...whatever grounding symbol that provides a
measure of comfort for you is fine.)
• As you reach the core of the Earth, you might want to get a sense of the quality or feeling
of Earth energy. You may experience this place with an image, picture, symbol, color, or
a feeling. You can visualize the Earth’s core as a large pool of liquid gold.
• Envision your grounding cord as a giant honey spoon, stirring the Earth gold energy and get
a visceral sense to further establish a substantial body-to-Earth grounding connection.
• Get a sense of the consistency of the Earth gold energies and befriend these energies. Spend
some time getting better acquainted with this beautiful resonance.
• Be aware of any negativity or discomfort that you may begin to feel within your body
and gently direct this down your grounding cord and give it to the powerful Earth energy,
which instantly neutralizes the negativity. Consciously ground this into the Earth’s core
until you feel all negativity drain from your body.
• After a while, you’ll want to reverse the flow of energy and visualize your grounding cord
as a big giant drinking straw that draws Earth energies from the core filling your entire
body with this healing Earth energy. Get a sense of this feeling of allowing Earth gold to
flow throughout your entire body and energy field filling all the spaces with the gold
Earth Energy. Some people report feeling this as a pure, unconditional mother-love
energy. Experience this as long as is comfortable.
• This is a fundamental healing energy that can help a long list of conditions and personal
issues. This stabilizes your personal energies for more confidence, feeling more
wholeness and integrated, increases your personal power and facilitates your ability to
actualize your personal goals.
• I encourage you to reinforce this most profound relationship and awareness with the power
of Earth energy. Work with this process for at least 5 minutes per day or as often as
you’d like. This is simple yet powerful process that will change your life.
Some people simply love the experience of grounding because it can be fun and it feels good and
their lives work better. Some report sensations of warmth and even states of bliss. Grounding
becomes a foundation from which we live and is tangential to everything we do. Here’s what one
student had to say regarding her grounding experience:
I felt my heart open up. My grounding made a subtle shift, but there was a sense that everything
was balanced and fine. Earth energy does feel like unconditional mother love energy. If I begin to
feel alone or disconnected, grounding helps me to feel better. It’s very nurturing and reassuring.
If ever I find myself feeling nervous and insecure, I find grounding helps me to be calm and
relaxed, so I can handle more expanded states of consciousness in my everyday life.
Sometimes people need to process more in order to be grounded. If there’s been lots of
negativity, trauma or abuse issues lodged in the psyche, than sometimes more healing of issues
from the past is needed to facilitate a better grounded. As much as possible, work with the
simple grounding meditation. Each effort helps your personal growth and your ability to ground.

What would the Earth be like if we were a race of whole, responsible, grounded people?
Consider that the Earth is a large organism and the more of us who are committed to establish a
more profound relationship with her helps to shift the consciousness of the whole. Too many
people are either partially or completely disassociated from themselves, from the Earth and from
nature. Grounding helps you stay committed to restore this fundamental connection. Make a
conscious effort to change and to find new references for being in your body on the Earth in a
way that is comfortable, stabilizing, loving, healing and pleasurable. It’ll change your life; it’ll
change the planet!
